UPPC draws plans to improve Service Delivery

UPPC-ProAct-NewStrategic2022

In a bid to enhance its capacity to deliver on its mandate, Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) held a four-day strategic planning workshop at Victoria Hotel-Entebbe.

The workshop that ran from Monday 09th – Thursday 12th, 2022 was facilitated by a team of consultants from ProAct International Management and Research Institute.

“Our aim is to ensure that UPPC provides the highest quality printing and publishing services and products in a timely manner and at a competitive price,” UPPC Managing Director, Kenneth Oluka said.

He noted that, “This workshop is important for us to know the current state of our corporation and where we want it to go, and how to get there.”

“We have been able to assess our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, with a view of improving or strengthening our operations,” Oluka added.

“We did a stakeholder identification and analysis and came up with the best possible ways to manage their expectations,” he added.

The workshop was attended by all UPPC managers and selected staff from all departments.

The team analysed the situation of the corporation, suggested ideas on what needs to be done and identified ways of monitoring the progress of the strategy at the different stages of implementation.

The need to engage key external stakeholders, who have vital and legitimate interests in the strategic direction of a transformed dedicated service delivery corporation, was underscored
